About the Author


Jason Aaron Cameron is a true Renaissance man within the Northern Utah literary scene. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he studied the art of writing at Brigham Young University and has spent over sixty years writing poetry and short stories. In addition to his lifelong passion for storytelling, Jason is a skilled database developer, programmer, and musician who plays both classical and rock guitar. Today, he lives in Clinton, Utah, where he can be found tinkering with photography, video production, and raising chickens alongside his wife, family, and a small menagerie of dogs and cats when he isn't deep into his next manuscript.


Jason's journey to publishing his debut novel is a testament to dedication. He began drafting Savant in 1984, quickly realizing the immense structural complexity required to build a sprawling fantasy world. Early in his development, an interview with bestselling author Raymond E. Feist (creator of The Riftwar Saga) provided pivotal structural pointers. Committed to avoiding mediocrity, Jason spent nearly forty years honing his skills and executing those lessons before finally sharing his expansive fantasy universe with the world.


🏛️ The Universe of The Stream and the Void


Jason’s core body of work is a sweeping high fantasy saga featuring intricate magic systems, political intrigue, ancient mysteries, and a stark struggle between humanity and cosmic corruption. The series focuses on three childhood friends—Talia, Sai, and Yang—whose lives are torn apart by a brewing ancient conflict, forcing them onto separate, treacherous paths of self-discovery and sacrifice.


  • Book One: Savant (2023): The saga opens as Talia, an unsuspecting young hunter harboring a dormant, universe-altering power, becomes the target of the Searchers—malevolent servants of the Void. Forced to flee her home, Talia discovers she can tap into the Stream, the vital force standing between creation and absolute consumption. Meanwhile, her closest friends are swept into their own perils: Sai is thrust into the glittering, cutthroat world of aristocratic society, and Yang discovers latent healing abilities that make him a target for dangerous enemies.


  • Book Two: Echoes of the Void (2025): The adventure intensifies as the trio fractures across the Seven Realms. Talia seeks refuge in the cursed Marshes of Ashtar to hide from the relentless Searchers, only to find ancient vendettas waiting to exploit her gifts. Sai rises to unexpected heights amidst war and chaos, forced to choose between the crown he serves and buried truths. Yang trains in secret under a mysterious mentor in the swamps, but a long-awaited reunion brings buried secrets to light just as the Void closes in on the forgotten High King's Archive.


  • Book Three: Kings of Chaos (Coming late 2026 / 2027): The highly anticipated conclusion to the trilogy takes readers to the breaking point of the Seven Realms. As old alliances shatter and war erupts on every horizon, Talia is drawn toward forbidden historical secrets by a voice echoing from beyond the world. Sai discovers that navigating the political intrigue of a suspicious court and keeping a kingdom together is far harder than winning a crown, while Yang uncovers dangerous, long-buried records that were never meant to see the light of day.
