David Francis, MA in English
Certified Writing Tutor & Professional Editor
Writing can feel like a solitary journey, but it doesn’t have to be. My name is David. I am a freelance editor, proofreader, certified writing tutor and Founder of the Weber County Writing Center. I am dedicated to helping you find clarity, precision, and confidence in your unique voice. With a Master’s degree in English from Weber State University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in English and American History, I bring a sharp eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the craft of writing to every single project.
My expertise spans a diverse range of genres and formats. Whether you are navigating the rigorous standards of MLA, Chicago, or APA citations, drafting a high-stakes federal grant application, or polishing a fiction manuscript, my versatile skillset ensures your work is both professional and impactful. From resumes and articles to essays and creative storytelling, I am passionate about elevating prose to the next level.
My approach is fueled by a lifelong thirst for learning and a genuine desire to encourage others. I don’t just fix errors on a page; I partner with you to sharpen your writing skills and ensure your ideas are communicated beautifully. Based right here in Ogden, I am entirely committed to doing whatever it takes to help the writers of Weber County succeed. At the Weber County Writing Center, you always hold the pen; I'm just here to help you guide it.
